I received my invite to attend The House of Dior’s gala event a few months ago. The invite read as a ‘glamorous evening and the opening of Seventy Years of Haute Couture at Dior’ with a black tie dress code. I squealed with excitement.
When it comes to style and dressing up, autumn winter is the season for me. It allows us to mix and match different layers, be adventurous with new trends and it is the season when faux fur, heavy duty leather and ankle boots become my uniform.
Woo hoo, one of my favourite times of year has arrived. Hello, Spring Racing, and hurray to the best day, Derby Day! There are many reasons that Derby Day tops my list. It’s the first day to officially launch the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival and secondly is the cool monochrome dress code. It’s all about classic black and white baby, just the way I like it. This year I wasn’t sure if I would be able to go until the very last minute. Being nine months pregnant I wasn’t sure if I would feel okay (every day is different). Luckily, I have been feeling good this last week, thank god little bub didn’t decide to come early.

Melbourne Cup Week continues to be one of the busiest weeks in Melbourne, with everyone around the country coming down to join in the festivities. We all complain about the crowds, weather and sore feet, but we wouldn’t want it any other way. You can’t explain the incredible vibe that you feel down the track during the week.
