I am so excited as this role combines my two passions of racing and fashion. The Caulfield Cup Carnival has always been my favourite carnival as it is the first race event of the season which means we can have fun with our fashion and it’s always such an inclusive and relaxed event.

I am putting together some interviews for the editorial section of my e-store so I am reading (AKA researching) my favourite fashion interviews onlone and one question that tends to get thrown around a lot is ‘who’s your style icon’ or ‘who’s style do you admire and why’. Why do so many of us follow style icons obsessively? It’s not just about celebrities and models anymore, we look to friends, workmates, strangers on the street and our Instagram feed for endless inspiration. There is something about wearing all white that makes me feel a million. Wearing white from head to toe may not suit everyone, but I always feel effortless and fresh when I wear it. It’s a trend that I haven’t been able to shake off for the last few years, and I love that it keeps re-inventing itself, have you noticed it’s all about silk pyjama dressing in all white this season?

I am devasted I can’t get to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week this week. I just don’t feel comfortable leaving Aston, and it wasn’t worth it only going for a day. I am also busy with The Connection (as we are re-launching, woo hoo, but more on this soon) so the timing wasn’t right. I was really looking forward to seeing one of my favourite designers, Toni Matcievski. The man can do no wrong and continually leads the way with his unique silhouettes, layered textures, moulded fabrics and monochromatic details. Last year his show took my breath away and even though I wasn’t in the room this year the photos tell the same story.
