The highly anticipated show of the week, AJE!! Walking into the runway we were transported with a beautiful floral installation in colours of red, plum, blush and touches of white. Very fitting as the collection is named ‘The Garden Of Yesterday’. As the first model stormed out on the catwalk so did the smoke, it was a nice touch, not so nice for my photos though- sorry!
ONE SENTENCE | This is Aje’s second collection at MBFWA (debuting last year) WOW it didn’t disappoint! Aje is known for it’s sequin-encrusted magic that sculpts the body. This collection provided the perfect amount of sequin pieces that we love and would expect from Aje but also some new magic in the from of woven fabrics in separates, flowing silk gowns, collared shirts and ruching.
FAVOURITE LOOK | I am dying looking at that sand & pale pink sequin bodice (my first picture below). I need it. NOW!
COLOUR PALETTE |Black & white to create great Monochrome pieces, sand, pale pink, cream, green.
KEY TRENDS | Sheer details, sequin embellishments, thigh-high splits, ruching.
