DERBY DAY | Kicking off with my favourite day of the Spring Racing Carnival. Tradition reigns supreme on this day so its nice to take advantage of the black and white dress code which is also the seasons biggest trend. I love these two hues contrasted together in the one piece look to Nicholas, Dion Lee and Camilla & Marc. Another option is to wear all white which is the hottest colour of the moment and introducing black with your headpiece and accesories. Yesterday we saw a twist to the classic black and white with the introduction of leather, mesh, geometric prints and neoprene fabric. I love a pant suit or short suit, so this is the day to rock that sophisticated look.

MELBOURNE CUP DAY | This day is all about embracing colour. Look to Alice McCall and Ginger & Smart who have lots of bright tones such as cobalt, green and bright geometric prints. Bright polka dots are also big this season and look to Josh Goot for some statement coloured pieces. In past season it was about colour blocking but this season we will see alot of print on print, which may feel a little loud initially but once you get used to it you will love it!

OAKS DAY | Embrace ladylike chic on Crown Oaks Day. It’s the day to bring out your feminine side with lace elegant dresses, Lover and Scanlon & Theodore do this best. Muted tones are very popular this season and great to introduce on Oaks Day. One of my favourite looks was the first Dion Lee look with its lilac muted tone and the introduction of metallic accessories which is very on trend this season. Embroiled embellishments and brocade fabrics is a great choice on this day head to Trelise Cooper and Thurley.
