I was lucky to get a close up view of this incredible collection aptly named ‘New Mood’ last week at the Witchery runway show in Sydney.

This collection showcases a whole new level of luxury and versatility, and opens up the Witchery brand to a new customer that is fashion forward and wiling to push the boundaries.

It has a little bit of everything with gorgeous feminine lace skirts and sheer paneling, tailored blazers, jumpsuits and pencil skirts to more sporty inspired pieces with bralets, bomber jackets and patent leather slides.

There is an incredible white-cropped leather jacket, which I may have already put aside; I am predicting this one will sell out. It’s such a great fit.

This year Witchery have shot their campaign with international model Cameron Russell; Cameron has recently graced the cover Vogue Paris and walked in the prestigious Chanel and Prada campaigns; she is every bit the Witchery woman- sophisticated and inspiring.

See my interview with Cameron here //

// Tell us about your most incredible summer holiday? I always try to spend a week or so in Maine with my big extended family… Every year it’s dozens of cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, blueberry picking, card games and ocean swimming!

//How do you keep your skin protected in the heat? Sunscreen!

//What’s your go-to summer novel? This summer I’m [planning to read] Junot Diaz’s The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao.

//The last time you laughed uncontrollably? Singing karaoke style in the car – with my boyfriend and little sister – at the top of our lungs.

//You’ve given a TEDx talk on beauty, feminism and unrealistic ideals. What’s another topic you’d love to dissect? I run an art lab in Brooklyn called Space-Made that invests in artists doing socially engaged work at the grassroots… Issue #6 [of our magazine, Interrupt] is going to be lead by Lynn Cyrin and be all about her guide to class mobility. We’ll be having many public conversations around the issues she raises of privilege and access.

//How can one person enact real change? Too many ways to list! Listening and not being afraid to take action when you see a need you can fill.

//You’ve walked for everyone from Chanel to Victoria’s Secret. Which show had the most fantastic set? I don’t play favourites! But to name a few: the Chanel set that looked like an enormous Mac computer, the Prada runway surrounded by feminist murals, and the first time I walked for Victoria’s Secret because I’d never seen any show with quite that much buzz and energy.

//How do you spend your downtime backstage or pre-shoot? Usually reading books on the Kindle app on my phone.

//Describe your personal style in three words…Androgynous, simple, and (hopefully, sometimes) elegant.

//Which item from Witchery’s SS14 campaign fits best in your wardrobe? These amazing baggy pants – I love baggy pants. They’re called ‘Super Slouch Pant’.

//The city still on you to-do list? Beijing. I love huge busy mega cities and I’ve never been!
