A spritz of perfume is an essential step in my beauty routine.

A spritz of perfume is an essential step in my beauty routine; I am sure I am not alone? I love the memories certain smells evoke. It’s like when I smell Tommy Hilfiger’s ‘Tommy Girl’ it takes me back right back to my teenage years (cringe) when I thought I was oh so cool wearing it every day.

Of course over time your tastes change, I now love citrus, fresh scents, sometimes I am in the mood for musky cotton fresh scents but nothing too floral.

D&G 3 L’Impératrice: This scent is my number 1 fragrance that I have been crazily drunk on for five years. I wore this on my wedding day, so I don’t think I will ever get sick of it. It is the perfect mix of fruity, musky and crisp. It has watermelon, grapefruit undertones (but don’t let this freak you out it isn’t over fruity) because of the sandalwood. I love that I can wear it from day to night as its fresh during the day but also sexy at night.

I was so sad when Myer and David Jones discontinued this perfume, I couldn’t understand why (but I was happy that it remained my little secret). You can purchase it at Sephora Sydney.

Chance Chanel: I wear this fresh scent a lot. It almost has a spicy twang to it, but it all works with the lemon and pine apple top notes.

I alternate between the original Chance and the Tendre when I want something a little more sweet.

Narciso Rodriguez ‘NARCISO’ : I only purchased this one in December last year, but I love it so much. Apart from the ultra cool packaging, the scent is unique. It has woody undertones with gardenia and white musk; it almost has a slight vanilla smell ( I think that’s why I love it)

Byredo Parfums ‘Gypsy Water’: I am sure you have seen this perfume all over your Instagram feed as beauty bloggers love the packaging, so it is getting a lot of love. Of course, I had to try it out, and I was pleasantly surprised. This scent is so unique because it smells different on everyone skin. You have to spritz the perfume in the right consistency on your skin; it needs to be even so it smells right if you spray too much in one spot it can be a bit too strong. Overall I love this smell during the day when I want to mix it up.

Salvatore Ferragamo ‘Signorina’: This scent is the perfect smell for winter. This fragrance is so luxurious and takes me back to the Salvatore Ferragamo hotel that we stayed at in Rome, this scent was everywhere. It has notes of grapefruit and pear but is quite powdery and musky. It is the perfect scent to wear out on date night.
