When it comes to style and dressing up, autumn winter is the season for me. It allows us to mix and match different layers, be adventurous with new trends and it is the season when faux fur, heavy duty leather and ankle boots become my uniform.
I was thrilled to join Westfield Carindale in-store last weekend to kick off autumn winter fashion for 2017 for an intimate (and delicious lunch) talking through my edit and style tips for the new season.
And this season, I love that it is about, more is more. We can thank Gucci for inspiring us all, so go crazy, with out there florals and interesting textures like tartan, lace and velvet. We are also seeing an invasion of moody tones with burgundy, dark green, and mustard the colours to wear. These moody tones are then mixed with brighter colours like pale pink and brighter reds for an interesting colour clash.
I curated key looks for the autumn winter season utilising my favourite Westfield Carindale retailers. I loved using a mix of more premium Australian designers like Sass and Bide, Asilio, By Johnny and Aje mixed in with my favourite high street brands, Witchery, Seed, Cue, Country Road and Veronica Maine.
Keep your eyes peeled for the insane velvet burnt orange jumpsuit below from Cue, it is such a goodie and on my hit list.
