I’m finding it hard to grasp onto the fact we’re almost officially in winter! Madness. While the chilly mornings (and my growing baby bump) make it more challenging to hop out of bed each morning, at least winter (which is my favourite season to dress for I might add) threads currently landing in-store mean that we’re on the brink of sinking into some romantic layers of knits & leathers. Woo hoo.
I’ve recently had the pleasure of playing with the latest Knitwear range from Ena Pelly; a range crafted from 100% Australian Merino Pure Wool. Danielle Pelly (who also gets another tick in my book as she is a Geelong designer) has collaborated with The Woolmark Company to build a range complete with relaxed & lusciously warm winter staples. In true form, Ena Pelly has kept a unique harmony between modern design and classic styles.
I love that her range has such a strong focus on quality, and this is evident in her new knitwear pieces which sit on the body so well but also feel comfortable to wear.
I’m pictured below wearing two of the newly launched knits, The Stella Knit and the Boyfriend Knit which I’ve styled with some of my go-to basics including ripped denim and my white tee. If you’re anything like me and love the ease of denim jeans paired with basic shirts & tee’s all year round, Ena Pelly’s new Knitwear range is going to compliment your style and seamlessly blend into your wardrobe.
I have also styled the range back with Ena Pelly’s popular leather jackets and suede skirts. I build my wardrobe on classic basics, so Ena Pelly suit’s my style perfectly, as her pieces can be mixed and matched with other pieces in my wardrobe easily. The less thought required each morning when I am getting ready, the better.
I love that each Ena Pelly piece has a relaxed fit, but it also has subtle pop of distinction woven in. The Classic Biker Jacket in grey for example, is made from a beautifully soft suede & finished off with sharp hardware, sophisticated detailing around the arms and a zip open cuff. The sister to this piece, the grey Suede Mini share’s it’s simplicity, but with a panelled detail on the front adding a hint of character.
Never underestimate the quality & timeless nature of natural fibres such as pure wool and leather. They last the distance & sharpen up almost any outfit.
The complete knitwear category will be launched in March 2019, with seven new styles. I cannot wait to see what’s coming next!
